Southern Right Whales

Hermanus Whale Tour (Whale season is between July and November)

Hermanus, only one and a half hours drive from Cape Town, is said to be the best spot for land based whale watching in the world! We head out of Cape Town and travel along Claren’s Drive, a beautiful scenic coastal drive nestled between rugged mountains and protected shores. There are several options on route to Hermanus including local wine tasting and/or visiting a botanical garden to learn more about the Fynbos vegetation. Once in Hermanus we explore the coastline for the best spot to watch the gentle giants of the ocean, the Sothern Right Whales that have travelled from Antarctica to give birth to their young.

Magic Touch of Nature Tour. (Designed by Charmaine, this tour is particularly popular amongst families travelling with children but is equally enjoyed by nature loving adults).

“I initially put this tour together for the many tourists that have allowed Cape Town to creep into their hearts and thus keep coming back for more, but it has become just as popular amongst our first time visitors!”

We head out to Butterfly World, where we visit this magical world of little creatures and animals, butterflies, stick insects, iguanas, and tiny tame marmoset monkeys etc, fascinating for all ages. The next stop is The Cheetah Outreach Program, come and find out why this beautiful non aggressive big cat is endangered, and more about the special project which is playing a pivotal role in saving cheetah’s from extinction. Optional opportunity to stroke this amazing animal (100% safety record). An incredible experience never to be forgotten. Lastly we visit Eagle Encounters, get up close and personal with the beautiful and mysterious raptors. This program rehabilitates and then releases sick, poisoned and injured raptors, while those that can't be released for various reasons are used as ambassadors to mankind. Enjoy a dazzling air display and meet the fastest creature on earth. The tour culminates with dinner in Stellenbosch, we then complete this magical day with a delicious dinner at one of Stellenbosch’s fine restaurants. A perfect way to end a perfect day.

Godfrey's former home

Township Cultural Tour

This tour has been designed by Godfrey Klaus, my business partner and friend, Godfrey grew up in a Langa shack and has lived through tremendous change both in the country and his own life. With nine years experience, you can trust Godfrey to plan an authentic experience for you.

Informal settlements, known as townships, are a result of the history of apartheid and the reality of current high unemployment levels and poverty in South Africa. None the less, these magical spaces pay tribute to the spirit of human triumph and allow the visitor an insight into South African culture that is hard to find anywhere else. You will learn what Ubuntu means as you touch and live the authentic South African experience.

On this tour you will be visiting Langa, Cape Town’s oldest township. The tour includes a historical account of townships and allows the visitor an opportunity to visit various projects and community initiatives designed for the upliftment of the community. We also have some fun by visiting a local school, a traditional healer and tasting some home brewed African beer!
