1. Booking & Payment
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking.
- The remaining balance is due no later than 35 days before the start of the tour.
- Failure to make full payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the tour, with applicable cancellation fees.
2. Tour Inclusions & Exclusions
- Inclusions are specified in your custom itinerary and generally include private transport, and guided experiences.
- Exclusions typically include:
- International flights
- Travel insurance
- Personal expenses, tips, and optional activities not included in the itinerary
3. Cancellations & Amendments by Client
If you wish to cancel or amend your booking, the following charges will apply:
- 59 – 31 days' notice: 50% of the total tour cost (deposit forfeited)
- 30 days or less: 100% of the total tour cost (no refund)
All cancellations or changes must be submitted in writing to tours@capetowntourguide.com or admin@capetowntourguide.com
*We will endeavor to refund any unused entrance fees or third-party costs that we do not incur due to your cancellation. These refunds are not guaranteed and are subject to successful recovery from the relevant service providers*
4. Cancellations or Changes by Cape Town Tour Guide
We reserve the right to cancel or modify any part of the tour due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, road conditions, political unrest, or events beyond our control. In such cases:
- We will offer an alternative tour or revised itinerary.
- If a tour is cancelled by us and no suitable alternative is available, a full refund will be provided.
5. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, cancellations, and personal belongings. Cape Town Tour Guide does not provide insurance.
6. Liability & Risk
By booking with Cape Town Tour Guide, you acknowledge and accept that:
- Participation in our tours involves inherent risks (e.g. travel delays, injury, loss of property).
- You voluntarily assume all such risks and agree not to hold Cape Town Tour Guide or its staff liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense.
We are not liable for:
- Any loss or damage to personal belongings
- Delays, cancellations, or changes caused by third-party service providers
- Any costs arising from missed flights or changes in travel arrangements
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
